About the blog

The blog is a collection of thoughts on a theme. I find it interesting the way artists and designers can be influenced along similar lines; and here I’ve collected these themes and trends together as I see them. I don’t post every day; or every week, it takes a while to think over these things and…. well there are other things to be done and children to chase after.

All the words are my own; the images are copyright of the designers  – or mine! I try to include as many of my own shots as possible, whenever I’m lucky enough to get to one of the trade shows!

About me – Jenny Voyce

From studying art & design history at University, I went off to London to work as a buyer for a numbers retailers including Liberty. An early innovator of e-tailing I developed a website Nubold.com selling and promoting new designers.  Most recently I’ve worked on the development of the shops for the Southbank Centre and produced merchandise for Hayward Gallery Exhibitions. Last year I was a buying and ecommerce consultant for Dezeen on the initial set up of the Dezeen Watch Store and pop-up shop. I’m currently freelancing for Trend Forecasting agencies.  Within all this work has been a common theme, my love of the visual arts and the way design has shaped our world.
